Dramatic results and beautiful, youthful skin can be yours with laser skin rejuvenation. At Erasure Skin, we use laser treatments to refresh your skin and erase wrinkles so you can feel radiant and confident again.
What to Expect
Skin rejuvenation can keep you looking years younger by targeting your deepest facial wrinkles. Though aging can cause the collagen and elastin that support our skin to weaken, laser skin revitalization stimulates production of these important proteins and renews the skin.
Our state-of-the-art laser emits pulses of light that extend deeply into the layers of your skin, eliminating damaged older tissue and, as your skin heals, allowing it to rebuild itself with fresher, younger-looking skin. The treatment takes half an hour or less, and most clients report little discomfort during the process.
Best of all, this laser treatment involves NO surgery, hardly any downtime, and noticeable, yet natural-looking results that are sure to win you compliments! You’ll experience minimal discomfort and see the difference in just a few days.

Procedure and Consultation
A Free Consultation is required prior to treatment to determine your suitability and which specific approach may be best suited to your needs. At the clinic we have various applications, therefore it is important to check you skin, area and location etc. for treatment. It is also important to obtain other information such as which medications, whether they be prescription or herbal, tobacco or drug use. In some cases we may ask your permission for your G.P’s practice. This will be the case if you have had recent surgery for example. Your general health status is very important to us. Your skin condition will determine which equipment is used.
Post Care
Depending on the severity of your skin condition we may ask your permission to take a photo which is then stored with your records. A follow up appointment is usually required to determine the outcome of your procedure and whether their need to be further forms of treatment for your best possible outcome.
Possible skin rejuvenation and resurfacing risks include:
-
Pigmentation irregularities (light spots or dark spots)
-
Delayed wound healing (particularly concerning for patients who have been on Accutane)
-
Skin surface irregularities
-
Textural changes
-
Increased susceptibility to sunburns
-
Hypersensitivity or allergic type reactions
What is Skin Rejuvenation and Resurfacing?
Skin irregularities on the face and body such as wrinkles and acne scars, pigmentation freckles, sunspots or visible blood vessels can impact how we feel about ourselves. With typical ageing we lose skin tone, becoming less firm and loose that healthy glow that is evident in younger skin.
At Erasure Skin different treatment modalities are available to treat the different aspects of skin damage.
Laser resurfacing, mechanical resurfacing, chemical peels can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles of the entire face or those that develop in specific regions of the face, such as the upper lip and around the eyes. These treatments can also be used to address pigmentation disorders, such as sun and age spots, and they can be used to improve the appearance of acne scars or other skin conditions.
The specific type of treatment that will best address your concerns are determined after a consultation. Most skin treatments require a series of treatments and a multi-modality approach to achieving excellent results. Most importantly, the patient must be committed to protecting his or her skin going forward so that the results achieved will be longer lasting.
*Injectables will also greatly improve various concerns. Please ask for further details.
Conditions treated with skin rejuvenation and resurfacing
Every patient is unique and will exhibit different combinations of genetic and environmental signs of aging that impact their skin. There are multiple ways to treat many of these issues.
The following are some of the conditions that different skin rejuvenation approaches can address:
-
Static wrinkles: These wrinkles are visible at all times and do not change in appearance with facial movements
-
Dynamic wrinkles: These are expression lines that may appear as folds when the skin is not moving, and deepen with facial movements or expressions
-
Pigmentation: Freckles, sun spots, or other darkened patches of skin result mainly from sun exposure
-
Scars: As the result of acne or injury to the skin, scars may be rolling (a wavy appearance to the skin), pitted, discolored, or have raised borders
-
Keloid and Inflammatory acne
-
Vascular conditions: Blood vessels visible on the surface of the skin, vascular lesions that appear as tiny blood-filled blisters or even a constant flush of facial redness
-
Loss of skin tone: Weakening of the supportive skin structures (collagen and elastin fibers) that result in a loss of skin firmness or the development of cellulite
-
Dull skin: Skin that has lost the vibrant glow from a buildup of dead skin cells and clogged pores
-
Certain birthmarks
-
Marks caused by Melasma
-
Seborrheic keratosis
During Treatment
Patients wear eye protection throughout the laser treatment session. The Nd:YAG laser typically causes little discomfort, although some patients may choose to have a topical anesthetic applied to the treatment area before the procedure begins. During the treatment, a handpiece is placed against the skin's surface and activates the laser. The laser pulses may feel like a rubber band snapping against the skin. The versatile laser's ability to specifically target pigmented lesions or tattoos makes it safer than traditional treatments.
The number of treatments needed to get the desired results varies depending on the condition being treated and the size of the pigmented lesion or other discoloration. A tattoo may require 4 to 6 sessions, while removing brown spots may take only 1 or 2 treatments.
When your procedure is completed, you will be instructed on how to care for the treated skin. An icepack may be required. The Nd:Yag laser limits recovery time with less scarring than other lasers. Depending on the treatment received, your skin can appearance can range from normal, to red and flaky, to blisters and scabbing from 1 day to 4 weeks. It is important to discuss your specific treatment plan and anticipated recovery time before you proceed with the treatment.
